On Friday evening, 17th of May at approximately 17:50pm a two car collision blocked Barwick Way between Pennine Way and Sober Hall Avenue.
Emergency services including a critical care team from the Great North Air Ambulance attended the crash in Ingleby Barwick. Police fully closed Barwick Way between Pennine Way and the Sober Hall Avenue roundabout for a number of hours while emergency services worked at the scene treating this victims.

Paramedics from North East Ambulance Service transported at least two casualties to nearby hospitals for further medical treatment.

Two vehicles both sustained major damage and had their airbags deployed. Motorists were forced to used alternative routes until the road re-opened which took place at around 20:15pm

Cleveland Police, Cleveland Fire Brigade and North East Ambulance Service have been approached for comment and more will be shared once it becomes available.
