Emergency services from all over Teesside responded to the scene on Marsh House Avenue and the A1185 Seal Sands Road on Monday evening the 13th of May

At approximately 6:30pm on Monday 13th of May emergency services including the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS), Cleveland Police and Cleveland Fire Brigade responded to a multi-vehicle traffic collision on Marsh House Avenue at its junction with the A1185 Seal Sands Road in North Billingham.

Marsh House Avenue was closed northbound between Low Grange Avenue and the A1185 Seal Sands Road as well as the Seal Sands Road was closed westbound from Marsh House Avenue to the A689 Roundabout.

Two cars with major damage were visible at the scene of the crash with both vehicles having their airbags deployed, both vehicles required recovery from the road.

It’s unclear what injuries have been sustained as a result of the violent crash.

Statement from Cleveland Fire Brigade below.

“Cleveland Fire Brigade were called on 13/05/2024 at 18:33 to an incident on Marsh House Avenue in Billingham. Two fire engines were in attendance from Billingham and Stockton. Road Traffic Collision (RTC) involving two vehicles, one casualty trapped. Crews carried out extrication and handed casualty over to NEAS. Crews made scene safe. We left the scene at 19.38.”

Cleveland Police and the North East Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
