At least two people were apprehended this evening following a dramatic police incident on the A19 near Thornaby. The incident, which unfolded shortly before 6pm, involved a fleeing vehicle and a large contingent of Cleveland Police officers.
Witnesses reported seeing numerous police vehicles on the scene, including marked patrol cars, unmarked vehicles, and specialist Matrix police cars, known for their use in high-risk situations. The chase reportedly culminated in a successful T-pac maneuver, a tactical technique employed by police to safely stop a fleeing car.
