Officers have been searching for Gloria since she was reported missing from her home on Meadowfield Drive in Eaglescliffe, Stockton-on-Tees at 5.45am on Sunday 31st December 2023 (New Years Eve), concentrating on the River Tees between Yarm and Ingleby Barwick due to CCTV footage showing a woman matching her description entering the river that morning.
Cleveland Police, along with colleagues from Cleveland Fire Brigade, Tees River Rescue and Tees River Trust, continue to focus their search on the River Tees and the surrounding riverbank areas.

Diving teams called in from Northumbria Police are assisting with the search of specific areas of the river over the next few days whilst officers search the riverbank on foot and with drones.
Police stress that the river is particularly deep at the moment and extremely fast flowing due to recent adverse weather. Cleveland Police would ask informal search parties to stand down due to these hazardous conditions around the riverbank.
