Emergency response to the Bomb discovered in River Tees at Yarm

A bomb was discovered in Yarm in 3rd April 2013. The World War II mortar shell was discovered in the River Tees close to Yarm Bridge.

Police and specialist Royal Navy Bomb Disposal Team divers spent the evening searching the River Tees close to Yarm Bridge following a report from a member of public.

Cleveland Police confirmed that divers had removed a shell from the water and had made it safe.
