Striking photos and video footage have emerged today, revealing the devastating aftermath of yesterday’s major fire at the derelict Turford Social Club in Middlesbrough’s Brambles Farm area. The images show the building’s charred skeleton, with a collapsed roof reduced to ash.

The fire, which broke out yesterday afternoon, engulfed both floors of the derelict building. Cleveland Fire Brigade battled the blaze for several hours, with residents advised to keep windows and doors closed due to the heavy smoke.

While the fire is now extinguished, the site remains under police guard as fire investigators work to determine the cause. No injuries were reported.

The derelict club has been a source of concern for local residents, with this latest incident not being the first fire at the site. Calls for its demolition have been renewed in light of the recent devastation.

The Turford Social Club was sold by Middlesbrough Council in 2023 as a development opportunity and is now thought to be owned by S Owen Property Rentals Limited.
