The popular Santa on Wheels event is returning to Stockton-on-Tees this year, bringing festive cheer to the streets of the borough. The event, which is organised by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, will see Santa Claus tour the borough on an open-top bus, spreading Christmas cheer to everyone he meets.
When is Santa on Wheels?
The Santa on Wheels tour will take place over four nights, from Thursday 14th to Sunday 17th December 2023. The bus will travel to a different area of the borough each night.
What is the route Route?
The exact route for each night of the tour will be announced closer to the time, but it is expected that the bus will visit all parts of the borough.
In previous years Santa has visited Billingham, Bishopsgarth, Carlton, Egglescliffe, Grangefield, Hardwick, Hilton, Ingleby Barwick, Kirklevington, Long Newton, Maltby, Newton, Norton, Oxbridge, Parkfield, Port Clarence, Redmarshall, Roseworth, Salter’s Lane, Stillington, Stockton Town Centre, Thorpe Thewles, Thornaby, Whitton Village, Wolviston, Wynyard and Yarm

What to Expect
Expect to see plenty of festive cheer, with Santa Claus and his elves on board the bus, waving to all the children and families. There will also be Christmas music playing and some fun surprises along the way.

The best way to get involved in the Santa on Wheels event is to simply stand by the side of the road and watch the bus go by. You can also wave to Santa and his elves. You may want to bring a hot chocolate or glass of mulled wine from your home to keep warm!
