An incident on Saturday evening forced the closure of Newport Road in Central Middlesbrough
Police Officers from Cleveland Police and paramedics from North East Ambulance Service arrived on scene at Newport Road near to Cannon Park shortly after 6:10pm on Saturday the 20th of April witnesses report seeing a “male transported to hospital covered in blood”.
The road was totally closed between Derwent Street and Marsh Street forcing motorist to find alternative routes into Middlesbrough Town Centre.
It is unclear at this moment the exact circumstances that led up to this incident. More will be posted once it becomes available.
Cleveland Police and North East Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
