Stockton Council have postponed overnight closures on a portion of Yarm High Street. The works were due to take place on Monday, March 25th and Tuesday, March 26th, the section of High Street between Bentley Wynd and the Spital was to be closed from 9:30 pm to 5:00 am each night.
These closures were necessary to facilitate road resurfacing work. The Council was implementing these overnight closures to ensure the safety of workers and to minimise disruption to traffic flow.
In a statement the council said the postponement was “due to adverse weather over the weekend affecting the contractor’s wider schedule. The planned works will now be rearranged in due course.
The resurfacing work is part of the Council’s ongoing highway maintenance program.
