Emergency services from Teesside have had a busy Saturday evening after multiple crashes closed roads and caused delays for motorists.
The first crash was on the A689 near Wolviston a multiple vehicle crash saw police, paramedics and firefighters arrive to the scene on the eastbound carriageway between the Services and A1185 Seal Sands Road. The road was closed for a short period to allow the emergency services to work at the scene, treat casualties and to allow vehicle recovery.
A second crash was reported shortly after near Ingleby Barwick which fully closed Low Lane between Thornaby Road and The Sporting Lodge. The crash took place on Low Lane as it crosses under the A19. Officers from Cleveland Police and firefighters from Cleveland Fire Brigade attended the scene along with paramedics from NEAS (North East Ambulance Service) attended the scene.
