Cleveland Police are urgently seeking dashcam footage following a serious collision that occurred on Masefield Road in Hartlepool. The incident, which took place at 4:35 PM on Sunday, June 23, involved a black Audi A4 and a white Vauxhall Vivaro van.
A 50-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the Vauxhall Vivaro, sustained serious injuries in the collision. She was promptly taken to James Cook University Hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment. The extent of her injuries has not been disclosed, but police describe her condition as serious.
In connection with the incident, three men aged 63, 32, and 30 have been arrested. They are currently in police custody undergoing questioning.
Cleveland Fire Brigade responded to the scene shortly after the incident. In a statement, they reported, “Cleveland Fire Brigade were called on 23/06/2024 at 16:39 to an incident on Masefield Road, Hartlepool. Two vehicle road traffic collision. One fire engine was in attendance from Stockton. Cleveland Fire Brigade assisted in removing one casualty from a vehicle and administering first aid. We left the scene at 18:13.”
Cleveland Police are appealing to the public for any information that might aid their investigation. Specifically, they are requesting that anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam or doorbell footage from the area around the time of the incident come forward.
