Firefighters have responded to an incident on Thirsk Road in Yarm at shortly after 16:30 involving an abandoned lorry trailer containing a large number of intermediate bulk container liquid tanks. Council enforcement and fire crews attended the scene working to determine the contents of the tanks.
One fire appliance and two fire officers attended the scene with two teams from Stockton Council civic enforcement also in attendance.
Firefighters closed the rear door of the large white trailer unit after inspecting the IBC contents using equipment on the fire appliance, and left the scene at 17:00, with one civic enforcement team remaining on scene with the abandoned trailer for a short while.
