A 35-year-old man has tragically died following a collision in Eaglescliffe, Stockton-on-Tees, in the early hours of Sunday, March 3rd.
Cleveland Police were alerted to the incident at approximately 00:40 GMT on Yarm Road, near its junction with Ashville Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered the man had suffered serious injuries. He was transported to James Cook University Hospital by ambulance but was sadly pronounced dead later that evening.
The deceased man’s family has been notified of his passing and are receiving support from specially trained officers. “All our thoughts are with them at this extremely difficult time,” said a police spokesperson.
Currently, an investigation into the collision is underway. Police are urgently appealing for witnesses, specifically anyone who may have seen a white Mercedes AMG traveling between Yarm High Street and the collision site in Eaglescliffe shortly before 00:30 GMT. Police also request any doorbell, dashcam, or CCTV footage from the area that may assist with their inquiries.
