Local Car Enthusiast, Andrew Robson, Passes Away Following Multi-Vehicle Accident
A local car enthusiast group has announced the passing of one of their members, Andrew Robson, following a tragic multi-vehicle accident that occurred near Jade Business Park. The accident, which involved a Ford Fiesta and other vehicles, led to the closure of the road and a significant response from emergency services.
The announcement, shared on social media, described Andrew as a beloved friend and passionate car and motorcycle enthusiast. It also highlighted his roles as a son, brother, and father to his daughter, Ayla. The group has requested that the family be given privacy and time to grieve during this difficult period.
The car enthusiast community plans to share funeral arrangements once they are finalised and encourages its members to offer support to Andrew’s family.
The news has been met with an outpouring of condolences and tributes from fellow car enthusiasts and community members, highlighting the impact Andrew had on those around him.
A spokesperson for North East Ambulance said “We were called to a road traffic collision on Barwick Road, Seaham at 7.38 this evening (23/09/2024). We dispatched two double crewed ambulances, a clinical team leader and a specialist paramedic. We were also supported by Great North Air Ambulance’s medical car. We transported one patient to Sunderland Royal Hospital and two patients were treated and discharged at the scene.”
Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
