In the wake of a fatal stabbing that claimed the life of a 28-year-old man in Hemlington, Middlesbrough, armed police have conducted a series of targeted raids across the area. The operations, which occurred tonight, are believed to be directly linked to the ongoing murder investigation, with police confirming the arrests of four people.

Following the stabbing incident at Fonteyn Court, which occurred shortly after midnight on Friday, February 28th, It is believed Cleveland Police have intensified their efforts to apprehend those responsible. This has led to multiple properties being targeted in what are thought to be coordinated raids.

Two men, aged 27 and 43, are currently being questioned by detectives tonight on suspicion of the murder of a 28-year-old man in Hemlington. Another man, aged 38, and a 19-year-old woman are also in police custody being questioned on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Locations subjected to the police action include addresses on Arrandale, Coverdale, and flats situated above Viewley Hill Shops. The operation involved a significant police presence, with officers utilising drones, weapons, and police dogs. Reports also indicate that officers were seen carrying ladders into the properties, suggesting thorough searches were conducted.
