Plumes of black smoke were visible over Central Middlesbrough after a fire broke out at the former Steelworks club near Albert Park on Monday 24th of February.

Fire Brigade Statement
A Cleveland Fire Brigade have said: “Cleveland Fire Brigade were called on 24/02/2025 at 13.25 to an incident at the Old Steelworks Club, Park Road South, Linthorpe, Middlesbrough.
“Five fire engines in attendance from Middlesbrough, Thornaby and Coulby, with assistance from County Durham & Darlington Fire and Rescue Service. Breathing apparatus and jet used.
Park Road South was closed all afternoon and into the night.
