Firefighters from Cleveland Fire Brigade attended the scene on Norcliffe Street in North Ormesby close to Middlesbrough Town Centre
The incident took place on Saturday night 7th of December just after 21:30 the fire has resulted in the interior of the property being completed destroyed by fire. Photos below show a blackened living room, smashed out windows and smoke damage.
Fire Brigade Statement
“Cleveland Fire Brigade were called at 21:28pm on 07/12/2024 to an incident on Norcliffe Street, North Ormesby. House fire. Three fire engines were in attendance from Middlesbrough and Grangetown. Two Breathing Apparatus and two Jets were used to extinguish the fire. 100% fire damage to ground floor and heavy smoke damage to the rest of the property. One casualty had vacated the property prior to our arrival and was handed over to the North East Ambulance Service. Crews had left the scene by 23:10pm.”
As a result of the fire the street was taped off by officers from Cleveland Police as many locals watched on.
