Emergency services from across Teesside including the Great North Air Ambulance arrived on scene of the incident on Somerset Road in Norton
Police and paramedics arrived on scene of the serious crash involving a motorcyclist and a pedal cyclist at around 2:35pm today, Thursday 25th January on Somerset Road in Norton.
A male cyclist has been taken to James Cook University Hospital. The incident saw a large cordon erected in the area while police investigators established what led up to the crash
The extent of the male cyclist’s injuries is not yet known an ambulance service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 2.32pm this afternoon to reports of a road traffic incident on Somerset Road in Norton, Stockton. “We dispatched two ambulance crews, one specialist paramedic, one duty officer, and requested the support of our colleagues at the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) who attended by air. One patient was transported to The James Cook University Hospital by road for further treatment.”
